Check out the sizzle reel from this years Seattle Bride Urban Unveiled event at Benaroya Hall. This was the place to be for 2014 design inspiration and trends. As we know, Emerald has been chosen as the ‘it’ color and is expected to be HUGE in the wedding industry within the next year. While I did not notice a lot of emerald within the table settings or decor, it was a huge influence in the breathtaking fashion show by the legendary Luly Yang and almost converted me into a fan.
The vintage theme is holding strong, although it seems to be taking on more of a romantic and less rustic spin (think lace, pearls, silver trays and lots of blush). I also noticed a few traces of the ‘roaring 20’s flapper’ style synonymous with the Great Gatsby Movie released earlier this year (Large feather centerpieces and gold and black color schemes).
I can’t wait to see how our 2014 brides choose to use these trends to showcase their own unique personalities.
Happy Planning!
